COMMUNITY LIBRARY
PROJECT
What is the Community Library Project?
The Community Library Project aims to help in the development and well-being of children living in poor communities through fun and engaging activities like reading and storytelling, creative play, as well as arts and crafts.
Another objective of the project is to help combat poor nutrition among children in the communities by providing healthy snacks during the program, and teaching the young kids about proper nutrition. More importantly, the CLP aims to strengthen the ties of the youth and children in their respective communities.
NGO LOOB had a similar project to this before. It was called “Daily Childminding and Weekends Kids English Activity (WEKEA)” from 2007 to 2018 at UCLA Center in Barangay Calajunan, Mandurriao.
